8 Nickels Arcade

Built-in 1918, this covered shopping center in downtown Ann Arbor is the home to specialty vintage and modern-day stores. The building was first a meat market owned by the Nickels family. In the early 1900s, Tom Nickels refurbished the facility to resemble European shopping arcades.

Today, tourists can stroll the 261-foot mosaic-tiled corridor and peruse some of Ann Arbor’s oldest shops.

State Street

Main Street

October to December
